Pub Blackboards To Brighten Up Your Establishment

In recent times, local pubs and bars have had a tough time of it. More and more people are choosing to save their money and drink at home or spend less time out when they do. Many pubs have been forced to close down due to lack of customer interest and high mortgages to pay back.

If you run a pub and are looking for some ideas to spruce it up a little to encourage more visitors to stay, why not consider some of the below additions?

During the winter and cold months, there is nothing better than curling up next to a fire, whether it be with a home-cooked meal and a drink, or just a coffee and a book. Create an atmosphere in your pub that people will want to spend a long amount in, rather than just coming for a quick drink and then moving on. In the summer, why not consider getting a kid’s play area, or a nice outside environment for punters to use in the warm evenings?

Recent studies have shown that blackboards can be far more effective in getting a message across than a poster. The reasoning behind this is that people naturally assume that a poster is a more general form of marketing and might not be particularly relevant to them. A pub blackboard can be changed often so the message is much more likely to be up to date. Use pub blackboards to write out your latest events and promotions. If you’re not an arty type, as a friend who is to do the design rather than just writing out your message in plain, white chalk. You can buy wall blackboards, table tops and a-frames for outside to draw people in off the streets.

Finally, you can easily change the image of your pub without breaking the bank. Try a reshuffle of your current lay out and fix up any broken or damaged furniture. Flea markets and car boot sales are great for getting odd bits and bobs that could make your pub a nice place to spend time, whether it be a nice mirror, new chair, interesting piece or art of statue.
